THE LAND & LOCATION

Welcome to Nu Kemet Glamping Village — your peaceful retreat nestled on 94 pristine acres of sacred, Black-owned land in Toomsboro, Georgia. Conveniently located just 2 hours from Atlanta and only 30 minutes from both Milledgeville and Macon. There are two Dollar General stores and two gas stations in town, the closest is 9 minutes away.  Nu Kemet offers the perfect escape into nature without straying too far from the city.

 

Our breathtaking property features wild seasonal delights such as blackberries, blueberries, maypops, muscadine grapes, prickly pear cactus, and more. A serene creek runs along the bottom of the land, enhancing the natural beauty and offering a soothing backdrop for your stay.

 

Enjoy 14 acres of cleared space ideal for glamping, gatherings, and outdoor events, along with over 3 miles of scenic trails for hiking, horseback riding, nature walks, or ATV rides. Come immerse yourself in nature, culture, and community at Nu Kemet—where the land heals, connects, and inspires.

OUR GLAMPING TENT COTTAGES

Welcome to our beautifully designed Glamping Tent Cottages. Perched on private decks and offering 238 square feet of thoughtfully curated space, our tents are the perfect way to experience the outdoors without sacrificing the luxuries you deserve.

 

Each cottage includes:

  • Fully-furnished interiors featuring hotel-quality mattresses, pillows, and linens

  • A generator available for electricity ($25 a night fee)

  • Coffee machine and coolers to keep your refreshments fresh

  • Access to charcoal and propane grills, fryers, and a fire pit for that perfect open-air meal

  • Sports equipment including a volleyball net and ball, soccer ball, kickball, football, and rubber bases for kickball/baseball games

  • Board games and playing cards for family fun or laid-back evenings

  • Tiki torches to light your nights with ambiance and charm

  • Porta potty and hand-washing station nearby for your comfort and hygiene

For your comfort, the facility features the following community amenities:

  • 4-mile long nature trail that features a wide variety of fruit trees and bushes including black cherry, persimmon and plum trees, blackberry and blueberry bushes, and muscadine grapes

  • Extra-clean porta potty and hand-washing stations nearby for your comfort and hygiene

  • Access to gas generators for personal electricity

  • Charcoal and propane grills

  • Cozy fire-pit area

  • Volleyball net and sporting equipment including: football, rubber kickball, soccer ball, volley ball, and rubber bases for baseball/kick ball

  • Access to outdoor movie projector with 120" screen

  • Access to bluetooth karaoke party speakers

  • Board games and playing cards for family fun or laid-back evenings

Nu Kemet Camping Day Pass (children under 18 free)

$10 Adults - BAF members

$15 Adults - Non members
Includes 24 hour admission to the camp ground, permission  to camp overnight, and access to all community amenities

RVs - vehicle only (no dumping available)

$20 per day - BAF members

$40 per day - Non members

Glamping Tent Cottage (Sleeps 1-6 Adults)

$100 per night - BAF members

$150 per night - Non members

Standard Tent Rental (Sleeps 1-2 adults)
