HEALTH & WELLNESS DEPARTMENT
The first step in addressing our healthcare challenge is to build new hospitals, dental, and medical centers nationwide. These institutions will be equipped with cutting-edge technology and staffed entirely by Black medical and dental professionals.
Our goal is to ensure that all Black people have access to state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, staffed by Black doctors and dentists who possess specialized knowledge of the Black body.
1. BUILD NEW HOSPITALS, MEDICAL & DENTAL CLINICS

There were 500 Black hospitals in the United States at the height of segregation, 18 in Detroit alone. Today, there is only one — Howard University Medical Center.
STRATEGIC FOCUS
The strategic focus of the Health & Wellness department is to establish an independent Black healthcare system, featuring state-of-the-art hospitals, as well as dental and medical clinics, supported by Black-owned medical and dental schools.
Through our simple economic model we will provide free health and dental care to the community with a focus on prevention and promoting both mental and physical wellness, utilizing a holistic African approach.
After completing medical and dental school, Black doctors and dentists often struggle to find employment in Black communities due to the absence of Black-owned hospitals and dental clinics. Additionally, systemic racism makes it difficult to secure positions within the broader healthcare industry.
By establishing new hospitals, dental, and medical clinics nationwide, BAF will create the infrastructure needed to hire thousands of Black medical professionals.
3. HIRE BLACK DOCTORS, DENTISTS & MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS

2. BUILD NEW MEDICAL & DENTAL SCHOOLS
Recent data shows that only 5.4% of physicians in the U.S. are Black. This disparity is largely due to the historical exclusion of Black people from the medical field and the ongoing challenges posed by an institutionally racist healthcare system.
In response, BAF will not only build new hospitals, dental, and medical centers but also establish new medical and dental schools to cultivate a new generation of Black doctors and dentists.
These schools will provide future Black medical professionals with culturally relevant education, integrating the latest advancements in medical technology alongside African-centered healthcare approaches.

Through the BAF's economic model, we will generate sufficient capital to provide free healthcare to all members who are uninsured or underinsured.
How do we achieve this? 1. We collectively own the hospitals, dental and medical clinics, and all of the state-of-the-art equipment. 2. We fund the salaries of the doctors, dentists, and medical professionals. So, when you seek treatment, why would we need to charge you if you anything?
Together, we can transform the healthcare system—not only for Black people, but for everyone. Join Us!
