This week marks another major milestone in the development of our first home in Pharaoh’s Row at Nu Kemet — the installation of the HVAC system.
Because this first home features a large open cabin-style interior and a dramatic glass front elevation, we made the strategic decision to install a 5-ton HVAC system instead of the more common 3.5-ton system typically used for homes of similar square footage. The design demanded it.
Open-concept spaces create beautiful sightlines and expansive gathering areas — but they also require thoughtful climate planning. Add a full glass front that invites natural light and solar heat gain, and efficiency becomes more than a convenience — it becomes essential. The upgraded 5-ton system ensures:
Consistent airflow throughout the open living space
Proper cooling during peak Georgia summers
Energy efficiency despite increased sun exposure
Long-term comfort for homeowners and guests
Stay tuned for more progress!
