We’re thrilled to share another exciting milestone in the development of Nu Kemet Retreat, Residential Community & Glamping Village! This week, the Wilkinson County Road Department completed the driveway cut-in, carving the primary access road for Pharaoh's Row, the first mini subdivision of our Nu Kemet Retreat.
In addition to the driveway, we’ve officially brought power onto the land! Thanks to Oconee EMC Electrical Company, we now have temporary electricity on-site, which is a critical step in moving forward with construction activities. This allows us to power essential tools, equipment, and facilities as we prepare to build our first two houses.
Every cut, every pole, every connection is part of building not just a physical community, but a movement. Thank you to all of our members, supporters, and partners who are helping to bring Nu Kemet to life. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to transform this land into a model community celebrating Black cultural.
