On July 18, 2025, the Black Achievement Fund officially broke ground on our highly anticipated Nu Kemet Retreat, Residential Community & Glamping Village—a visionary 112-acre development designed to honor Black legacy while shaping the future of sustainable, culturally inspired living. Set against the tranquil backdrop of Toomsboro, Georgia, the ceremony brought together BAF members, supporters, and future homeowners to celebrate a bold new chapter in Black land ownership, healing, and self-sufficiency. With powerful speeches, ancestral blessings, and ceremonial shovels in hand, the moment marked not just the start of construction—but the beginning of a movement!
