Installing Insulation at Pharaoh’s Row!

We’ve reached another key phase in the construction of the first home in Pharaoh’s Row at Nu Kemet—the installation of insulation. While it may not be the most visible part of the build, insulation plays a critical role in how the home performs day to day, affecting comfort, energy efficiency, and long-term durability.

For this home, we installed R30 insulation in the exterior walls and R13 in the interior walls, in line with Georgia building standards. We chose fiberglass insulation for its balance of performance, affordability, and reliability. Fiberglass helps regulate indoor temperatures, reduces energy costs, and also provides sound-dampening benefits between interior spaces. Compared to other options, it offers consistent performance without the higher cost of spray foam, making it a practical choice for long-term value.
